Day3 is Amavasya, on this day Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped with great devotion and light lamps outside homes. They also follow the custom of hanging the “Akash-kandil”/sky-lamp, which is prepared using colorful paper in the verandah. Lord Ganesh, cash, jewelry and the broom are also worshiped.
